Welcome to Rosslyn

Rosslyn is the eastern end-cap to the Rosslyn-Ballston (RB) Corridor, and sits immediately across the Potomac River from Georgetown. It is characterized by high-rise mixed use condos and apartment buildings, many with some of the best views in the DC region. Rosslyn doesn't have the same 13-story heights restriction that DC does, and Rosslyn's height has been the least restricted by Arlington County. This gives office buildings and residential building views of Georgetown, the Kennedy Center, the National Mall, and the receding DC skyline. Rosslyn's architectural mix is eclectic, including nondescript square brick buildings, brick- and siding-clad attractive townhouses, boxy colonials, and glass curtainwall high-rise condo buildings.

Restaurants, Retail, and Entertainment

Rosslyn once had a reputation for closing after 6pm. But this reputation has faded over the last decade. It now has many food options, ranging from foodie-worthy sit-down dining, to fast-casual burger joints like District Taco. Rosslyn is home to Amuse, the rooftop hotel restaurant in Le Meridien hotel with skyline views of DC. Sfoglina Pasta House serves up handmade pasta and Italian favorites. Kanpai Japanese Cuisine, - you guessed it - serves fresh sushi and Japanese dishes. Guajillo Restaurant serves authentic Mexican cuisine for lunch, brunch and dinner. The list goes on. Rosslyn is also home to national and local fast casual chains: Chipotle Cava Mezze, Jimmy Johns, Capriotti's, Chop't, District Taco. Needless to say, Rosslyn offers a variety of dining experiences. It also has a beer garden or two, and an abundance of coffee shops. Rosslyn is full of memorials, parks, and off-beat museums. The Iwo Jima Memorial sits on the south side of Rosslyn.
